DHR Gardens is built around four donated Nexus greenhouses, and six hoop houses. Spring plants, poinsettias and native Texas trees are grown at DHR Gardens. These greenhouses create employment and training opportunities for our residents with handicaps, and income for the Ranch.

From January to June, the greenhouses are brimming with color from our spring plants.

Herbs are also grown and dried for our gift baskets.

Our Easter Lilies are available in mid-January.

Our Spring Color Baskets are available March-May and include:   Wave Petunia, Dragon Wing Begonia, Firefly Impatiens, and Torenia

Poinsettias arrive at DHR Gardens in August. With the help of many volunteers and a skilled greenhouse staff they are planted and carefully tended in order to provide plenty of color and cheer for the holiday season. Our poinsettias are ready for delivery right after Thanksgiving Day, but orders are taken year-round for these beautiful plants.

Native Texas trees, including pecan and a variety of oaks, are grown and sold at the DHR Gardens. Seedlings, one-gallon and five-gallon trees are available year-round.

A gift shop is located in the Garden Center, offering gifts for all ages. Come and visit!
